Introduction to Affiliate marketing

 Affiliate marketing is the process of earning a commission by promoting someone else’s product or service.

Most companies have what are known as “affiliate programs” for their products or services. Almost anyone can apply for these and they are typically free.

These companies will happily pay you an “affiliate commission” for every sale you generate for them. These commissions typically range anywhere from 5% to 100%, depending on the product.

For example, the commission on a physical product might be anywhere from 5% to 25% average. There are typically smaller profit margins on physical products because of manufacturing expenses.

Whereas the commission on a digital product might be anywhere from 40%-50% on average. There’s much larger profit margins and not as many expenses involved in it.
